Here’s a little tip that might help: using a sweet liquid such as red wine, apple cider vinegar, or fruit juice inside the KONNA can enhance its effectiveness. The fruity scent helps lure the flies in more consistently. Be sure to place KONNA close to your fruit bowl or compost bin, where flies are most active, for best results.

Hi Elizabeth, thank you for your review and for trying the KONNA Fruit Fly Traps. We’re glad to hear they are helping, but we’re sorry the hole size didn’t meet your expectations. The opening is designed to let flies easily enter when attracted to the bait, while making it difficult for them to find their way back out. In some cases, if the bait level is low or the trap is placed directly next to fresh fruit, flies may linger near the entrance and appear to escape. Keeping the bait topped up and placing the trap close to—but not directly on—the source of the flies usually helps draw them further inside.
