Our Materials
HAPPY SiNKS products are made from a few materials. Here is what they are and how to care for them.
Biocomposite
We use Finnish biocomposite from UPM. It contains cellulose (wood) fibres, which give the surface a slightly uneven texture, so each piece is a little different. The biocomposite has an approximately 50% lower carbon footprint than conventional alternatives.
Care: Wipe with a wet cloth and let dry thoroughly. Do not submerge or put in the dishwasher.

Stainless steel
Our stainless steel holders are made for steel and metal sinks, where the magnets hold them in place. Stainless steel is durable and handles daily use at the sink. We also use it for our dish drying racks.
Care: Dishcloth holders: wipe with a wet cloth and let dry thoroughly. Do not submerge or put in the dishwasher. The roll-up dish drying rack is dishwasher safe.
Magnets
Our dishcloth and sponge holders attach with magnets. The holder sits inside the sink and the second magnet goes on the other side of the sink wall. The magnets hold it in place without screws or adhesive, so the cloth or sponge hangs clear of the sink and dries quickly. They work in steel and metal sinks and in thin-walled composite sinks, but not in ceramic or stone sinks.
